Comores Vanille offers premium vanilla, produced from the ancestral expertise of Comoros cultivators. Our vanilla is high-quality and pure. Additionally, we provide a wide range of artisanal products that are 100% natural, without any added chemical substances.

Who are we?

Comores Vanille is a company founded by a young Franco-Comorian couple with the aim of introducing the vanilla from Grande Comore. The vanilla production is a family story initiated by our parents. They passed down their expertise for traditional and artisanal production, allowing us to present you with high-quality and 100% natural vanilla.

Our vanilla is cultivated in the Mitsamiouli region on family-owned land.

How is our vanilla harvested?

From seeding to harvest, we are committed to respecting traditional methods of cultivating our vanilla. Hand-picking and sun-drying ensure the preservation of traditional vanilla cultivation, a guarantee of quality.

1. Hand pollination by family members.

2. Scalding (immersing green pods in hot water).

3. Sweating (the vanilla is covered with burlap for 48 hours to allow it to sweat and acquire its black color).

4. Séchage (en extérieur au soleil et à l’ombre pendant plusieurs semaines selon la météo).

5. Curing (The pods are checked and sorted according to their category: split or unsplit pods are stored for several weeks in crates lined with parchment paper to develop the vanillin content).
6. Measuring (calibrating the pods according to their size).
